To do this project I started by making the base shape by using a circle. Using this method I extruded this shape to create a virtual mold for the design process. By making some holes in the mold I made cavities for holding the brushes and reducing the amount of material used.
After finishing the design process I created a STL file for the model and changed the settings to make the height 4 in (101.6 mm). When the I was comfortable with the look I checked with the teacher in the print preview window. After doing so I transferred the file to a flash drive. I loaded the drive into the printer and selected the file. Once the file was set the printer automatically set up and started printing. After a day of printing I removed the holder and removed the excess material and cleaned it up. After the project was cleaned I took it home and put it in my bathroom to be used immediately. And it looks cool on my sink counter top. |
